iPad Program Background
The District began looking into implementing a 1:1 program in 2010 as we prepared to open the new Garden City High School. Within this 21st century campus, our students need 21st Century learning. Groups of teachers, administrators, and students visited schools that had 1:1 programs. Observing the types of learning and instruction taking place, we knew we wanted a device that would allow for student engagement, critical thinking and problem solving, self-direct learning, and personalized learning.
