Office of the Superintendent

Welcome to Garden City Public Schools.

Garden City Unified School District #457 has the ninth largest enrollment in the state of Kansas, serving over 7,200 students on 18 campuses. We serve students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our district is the second largest geographically in the state of Kansas, encompassing a total of 928 square miles. Our students and families are very diverse, with thirty-five different languages spoken in our district.

At Garden City Public Schools we educate 25% of the population but we influence 100% of the future.  We are engaging, enriching, and empowering our students, teachers, staff, and administrators in carrying out our district’s mission of “Quality Learning – Responsible Citizens.”  Our dedicated and caring staff are committed to providing every student a high quality education as we prepare all of our students to be college and career ready.

Garden City Public Schools has strong support from our community in meeting our mission.  I invite you to learn more about our school district on this website. You will discover valuable information about our district, our schools, and our community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mike Dominguez
