Board of Education Meeting Monday

The next meeting of the Garden City Public Schools Board of Education will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023.  The meeting will be held in the Educational Support Center Board Room, 1205 Fleming Street.

The board will recognize Maria Quintanar who recently received the 2023 KNEA Human and Civil Rights Award at the KNEA annual Representative Assembly in Topeka.

The board will receive a building presentation from Horace Good Middle School.

There will be an update on the Student Intern program from Dr. Joe Alcorta, Human Resources Director. 

Amy Ricks, Principal at Charles Stones Intermediate Center, and Gina Galpin, Principal at Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center, will present on Standards Based Grading.

Colleen Drees, Financial Officer, will provide a presentation on the American Tower Agreement.  This agreement covers the cell tower contract with the district.

The board will hold an executive session relating to personnel matters for non-elected personnel.
