There are a number of Garden City Public Schools that will have new start and end times for the 2024-25 school year. The change in the times at the schools will help to efficiently transport students that ride the school bus.
The new times for Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center and Charles Stones Intermediate Center will be 8:15 a.m. for the start of school. The schools will release at 3:30 p.m. daily.
Garfield Early Childhood Center’s morning session will start at 8:45 a.m. and end at 11:50 a.m. The afternoon session will start at 1:15 p.m. and end at 4:20 p.m.
The district is asking parents to update their contact information with the schools. The district needs this contact information so buildings can contact families on any updates as we progress through the school year.
The first day of school for the 2024-25 school year will be Wednesday, August 14 with a half-day orientation for students in grades kindergarten through fifth, seventh, ninth and tenth, and all students new to Garden City Public Schools. The first full day of school for Garden City Public Schools is Thursday, August 15, 2024, when all classes will be in session for the start of the 2024-25 school year.
