Student Art on Display at ESC

Students from Garden City Public Schools have their artwork on display as part of the celebration of Youth Art Month during March at the USD 457 Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming Street.  The artwork will be on display during regular business hours at the facility.  There will be a reception held on Tuesday, March 25 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the Educational Support Center Board Room to highlight the event.

Youth Art Month is a month of promoting art and art education across the United States. It is observed in March, and encourages support and celebrates visual art education for grades K – 12.

Youth Art Month is intended to recognize all of the skills that children develop by practicing the arts including creativity, communication, and problem solving. Art helps children explore their thoughts and emotions, and translates them into something creative. Children become more self-aware, communicate better, and have an improved sense of self-esteem and well-being when they practice the arts.
