The University of Kansas Wind Ensemble performed for Garden City High School band students as part of their School of Music Across Kansas tour on April 1st. Other locations along the tour include: Junction City, Clay Center, Hays, and Dodge City. This performance is the first time the KU Wind Ensemble has toured Western Kansas in more than 30 years. Under the direction of Dr. Matt Smith, the KU Wind Ensemble performed a program of diverse music lasting approximately one hour. GCHS band students had the opportunity to talk to members of the band after their performance.

The Garden City High School drama department will present “Murder’s in the Heir” on April 4th and 5th at 7:00 p.m. There will be a matinee on April 6th at 2:30 p.m. Advanced ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for students.
