Garden City Achieve recently announced their Honor Roll for the third quarter.
Garden City High School had around 200 music students participate in KSHSAA State Large Group music competition on Wednesday, April 9. Les Chantes Choir-1. Freshman Treble Choir-2. Chorale-1. 9th & 10th grade Orchestra-1. Symphonic Band -2. 11th & 12 Grade Orchestra-1 Wind Ensemble-1.
Garden City High School and Garden City Achieve were named 2025 All Stars as part of the APPLY Kansas campaign. The Kansas Board of Regents will honor 216 All Star High Schools at a Kansas Board of Regents meeting on May 14. https://www.gckschools.com/article/2130471
Jennie Wilson Elementary School will hold a fundraiser in partnership with Freddy's tonight, April 8. Fifteen percent of all sales from 5:00-8:00 p.m. will go back to the school. Thank you for your support!
A free developmental screening clinic for 3-5 year old Garden City residents will be held on Friday, April 11. It will be at Garfield Early Childhood Center. Appointments can be made by calling 620-805-7500.

The University of Kansas Wind Ensemble performed for Garden City High School band students as part of their School of Music Across Kansas tour on April 1st. Other locations along the tour include: Junction City, Clay Center, Hays, and Dodge City. This performance is the first time the KU Wind Ensemble has toured Western Kansas in more than 30 years. Under the direction of Dr. Matt Smith, the KU Wind Ensemble performed a program of diverse music lasting approximately one hour. GCHS band students had the opportunity to talk to members of the band after their performance.
The Garden City High School drama department will present “Murder’s in the Heir” on April 4th and 5th at 7:00 p.m. There will be a matinee on April 6th at 2:30 p.m. Advanced ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for students.
