There will be a Baccalaureate service to celebrate your accomplishments in graduation. Baccalaureate is a Christian faith-based service that celebrates graduates. This is a moment of reflection and encouragement through music, scripture readings, and brief messages of hope and wisdom to look ahead to the future with gratitude and purpose. Your whole family is welcome to attend with you in this time of celebration. The service will be Sunday, May 11, 2025 at 3pm in the GCHS Auditorium. National School Nurse Day is May 7. School nurses play a critical role in supporting the health, wellness, and academic success of students. School nurses positively impact students, families, and schools by providing direct care, managing chronic conditions, promoting mental health and school attendance, connecting families to community resources, and coordinating care to break down barriers to healthcare access.

The GCHS Art Department competed at FHSU in the 50th annual High School Art Day. Garden City High School students took home 47 merit awards for their work.
Cesar Morales Gomez, “Is to Perform” Charcoal, took Best of Show.
He will receive a $1,000 Field scholarship to attend FHSU, majoring in Art and Design.
The instructors from Garden City will receive a $200 Blick Art Materials gift certificate to purchase art materials for their program.


Due to the forecasted weather USD 457 Transportation will be running Mud Routes for Tuesday May 6th.
