Garden City Mayor, Roy Cessna, was at Garden City High School this morning to read a proclamation at an assembly to help kick-off American Education Week in the school district and community. The school’s Green Club was honored to serve as presenters, sharing their project titled “Growing Together—How Green Schools Can Support Student Wellness, Learning, and Leadership.” There were 32 GCHS students that attend the conference to learn about sustainability, environmental education, and student leadership.
Horace Good Middle School will present “Princes, Privilege, and Pageantry” on Friday, November 14th at 6:00 p.m. in Clifford Hope Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door.


The Garden City High School Chamber Orchestra was at Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center today performing and showing students how to play their instruments.

The Kenneth Henderson Middle School Student Council Leadership Team and FACS class honored veterans of the community with a breakfast and presentation in the school's gym this morning.


We have Kansas Teachers of the Year from Western Kansas visiting the district today. Superintendent, Josh Guymon, went over the district's Mission and Vision along with data about the district, to start the day.
Georgia Matthews Elementary School will hold a fundraiser in partnership with Freddy's tonight, November 10. Fifteen percent of all sales from 4:00-8:00 p.m. will go back to the school. Thank you for your support!





Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center choirs will present Broadway Beat at 6:00pm in Clifford Hope Auditorium. Admission is free. Hear musical theatre highlights including hits from Hairspray, The Music Man, The King and I, Wicked, Rent, and Grease.
