A number of schools around the district hosted Trunk or Treat events at their buildings during the afternoon. Students were dressed up in their Halloween costumes and families and organizations from the community provided treats to the students.

The Edith Scheuerman Elementary School Tigerrific Sign Choir will present a Veteran’s Day program at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8th in the school gym. They are inviting veterans to the program.
Garden City High School orchestra students recently had their pieces judged for the Southwest/Northwest District Honor Orchestra. There were 33 completed auditions and 20 students selected. There will be concert on Saturday, December 7 on the Fort Hays State University campus.
We would like to thank Hutton Construction for its donation of a table saw to the Industrial Arts class at Horace Good Middle School.

The GCHS Family, Career and Community Leaders of America will hold a fundraiser in partnership with Freddy's tonight, October 30. Fifteen percent of all sales from 5:00-9:00 p.m. will go back to the school. Thank you for your support!
Asthma screening of 5th graders is taking place today at Abe Hubert Elementary School, Jennie Barker Elementary School, and Plymell Elementary School. We would like to thank the Garden City Community College nursing students for helping with this event.
A free developmental screening clinic for 3-5 year old Garden City residents will be held on Friday, November 1. It will be at Garfield Early Childhood Center. Appointments can be made by calling 620-805-7500.
