Garden City High School will hold an informational meeting on the planned performing arts trip to New York City. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Welcome back to school! Students were getting oriented at the schools across the district this morning. Students were touring their schools, figuring out their combination to their lockers, and getting some class instruction.

USD 457 staff were back for the start of the school year at Garden City High School this morning. It was a fantastic event with performances from students, a great comedian speaker, community organizations, and Food Trucks for lunch.

The new teachers have started their in-services today at Garden City Public Schools. There was a session at the zoo where the Mayor, Vice Mayor and City Manager welcomed them to the community and had a short tour of the zoo.

The Garden City High School Music Department received word that the Garden City High School Chorale was selected to perform during the 2026 Kansas Music Educators Association in-service weekend. The choir will spend the year preparing a program of music to perform in February 2026 at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas. https://ksmea.org/perf/selected-groups/
